Halsey just collaborated with her hero Amy Lee – and fans are losing it
Halsey and Amy Lee have come together for new track 'Hand That Feeds', released for the upcoming Ballerina film.
Halsey has just teamed up with one of her lifelong heroes and fans are calling it a "dream come true" for alternative rock lovers.
The singer, 30, has joined forces with none other than Evanescence frontwoman Amy Lee for a haunting new track titled ‘Hand That Feeds’, written for upcoming action-thriller Ballerina, a spin-off in the John Wick franchise starring Ana de Armas.
Sharing the emotional news on Instagram, Halsey told fans: “I’ve been a fan of @amylee since I was 11 years old. Her and Evanescence created a window for me that allowed my feelings to seem important. They were the place I ran to when I couldn’t stand the outside world.”
She added: “I wouldn’t be the artist I am today without them. Getting to create alongside her on ‘HAND THAT FEEDS’ is one of the most surreal moments of my life. I’ll carry this forever.”
It’s not the first time the Without Me hitmaker has shown her love for the rock legend. Just last year, she paid tribute to Amy Lee in ‘Lonely Is the Muse’ dressing up and singing in full Evanescence-inspired style, dark hair, dramatic makeup and all.
Now, fans are going crazy over the real thing. “This is an iconic day for alternative rock fans,” one wrote. Another gushed: “Sixth grade me 🤝 33-year-old me.”
Others dubbed the duo “the queen and the princess” of rock, praising the track’s powerful vocals and nostalgic feel. “This is what I need the next Evanescence album to sound like,” one listener said.
Fans are just hoping that a video gets released too, and with this reception I wouldn’t be surprised.
